Mother's Helps are normally live-in and can work for up to ten hours per day but are usually not qualified and often not experienced so need supervision. They are cheaper than nannies and will do more housework than a nanny. You can find Mother's Helps through your local nanny agency or by placing an ad. A Mother's Help will, in effect, be your helper not your child carer. Follow the same guidelines as for Au Pairs (above).
